Feeling Overwhelmed? Let Go and Say “No”

Here's another "Freebie" for my readers, but first let me share a quick story that may help you where you are "at" today. Here's the story:

Do you have too many things going on in your life where you feel overwhelmed? 

Are you running but going “nowhere”?  

Do you need to “just say no”?

Sometimes it’s a matter of trust. 

Trusting that you and others will be OK, trusting that your bills will be paid, trusting that what you’ve asked for; whatever it is, will be answered and taken care of.

I have a quick story for you today.

A man walks along a cliff enjoying the view. He loses his balance and goes over. The good news is that he has the presence of mind to reach out and try to grab anything that he can to stop his descent. His hand finds a branch protruding from the side of the cliff and now grabs on to it with both hands for dear life. When he finally finds enough energy to speak he calls out: “Is there anyone up there?” “Can anyone help me?” There is no answer.

He calls again. Again there is no answer. All seems hopeless and he is losing his grip and strength to continue holding on.

A big, bellowing (deep and low) voice loudly says: “This is God. I can help you. Just let go… and trust”.

After a quick moment he again starts yelling: “Is there anybody else up there who can help me?”

That’s my paraphrase of a story you’ll read in T. Harv Eker’s book: Secrets of the Millionaire Mind (Available at: http://www.terscott.com/tharveker). There are many points we can glean from this story but today’s is that we must give up some things in our lives if we want to add some things in our lives… and of course, to trust.
