Create and Use "Inspiration Sessions" to Learn Ways to Attain

I will soon write about how one can create their own personal "Inspiration Session" and an "Inspiration Board" that meets weekly at a location or online via Skype but for now I wanted to show you how one works to come up with ideas to market one's business. Check it ot out at my blog: http://terscott.blogspot.com/2013/12/8-marketing-questions-for-every-business.html. Then create your own to come up with ways you'll create a better life for yourself in all of the Major 8 for this upcoming year. Leave your comments at the end of this posts.

Happy New Year!

Create a "ritual" to use prior to doing regular activities

As a public speaker and trainer I offer helps to others. One of my other blogs is called: Instant Public Speaker. This is where I help people to become, like the title implies, and "instant public speaker".

The reason why I'm telling you about this here is that I wrote an article for speakers to help them achieve greater results and better presentations by using visualization rehearsals. You can read the entire article in just a moment if you want, but I especially wanted to tell you the "tip" I gave in the article:

TER’S TIP: You may want to have a “ritual” (I strongly suggest it) that you always do so prior to your speaking, so something is always real, that you can depend. For instance, your ritual could be that you always do three things prior to each speech: enjoy a breath mint, a cool drink from a water bottle, and turn the ring on your finger while telling yourself that you’ll do a great job, that you love your audience and that they love you. Then when you visualize this, then when you actually start your presentation by actually doing these three things, your subconscious is well on its way to moving forward in bringing you the exact results desired!

As I write this I remembered the ritual/routine of the football players banging on the mascot sign as they left the locker room in the movie Rudy. People visualize all the time. People bang on their own walls of habits without thinking. But, are these good visualizations, and good habits? Hopefully the answer to that question is a resounding "yes"!

I share with my readers here this tip, not because you may be, or become a speaker (instantly or not), but that you can use visualization rehearsals for many things that you do, playing guitar, singing, performing, asking for a raise, doing better on your phone calls, having a better relationship at your work or home.

I will paraphrase an old advertising commercial told us: "Try it, you'll like it". Use visualization in some area today and let me and the other readers here about it.

Make it a great day!
Ter

Are You Lonely Tonight and other Words of Wisdom

Truth is like the sun. You can shut it out for a time, but it ain't goin' away.” “From the time I was a kid, I always knew something was going to happen to me. Didn't know exactly what.” The image is one thing and the human being is another. It's very hard to live up to an image, put it that way.”
These are all great quotes from Elvis, who also said: “I'm not trying to be sexy. It's just my way of expressing myself when I move around!” If you’ve seen Elvis either when he was living; or now in the movies he left us, you know what that quote meant.
I was surprised finding other quotes reflecting Elvis’thoughts and life that held real wisdom. When he said Ambition is a dream with a V8 engine”,he was certainly speaking about his fast rise to fame. And when he said “I'm trying to keep a level head. You have to be careful out in the world. It's so easy to get turned” we can only imagine what trials, tempations, and challenges he was continually facing. Whether we are living in a similar situation as his or not, this is good advice!
The things we all say are based on our thoughts and experiences. When they are profound, funny or unusual, they touch others in a way that we remember them. Then, later some of us, such as myself, try to find the real meaning in them and use them to offer help and hope in our own lives and share with others to offer the same for them. You don’t have to be “famous” by the way, to have some great quotes. I’m sure you remember things that your parents told you as you were growing up, those by a teacher, or anyone else who helped shape your life. I would suggest that you write them down as you remember them and read them from time to time. Also, listen to yourself. You may be inspired with something worth quoting; write it down!
Adversity is sometimes hard upon a man; but for one man who can stand prosperity, there are a hundred that will stand adversity.” After reading that quote by Elvis, I’m reminded of what some used to say in the seventies: “That’s heavy, man!” Let’s think a bit about this, we’ve all had some type of adversity at some time and yes, it was hard. But here Elvis is telling us that prosperity can be harder to stand than adversity! I don’t think he is telling us to fear success or to not seek prosperity, but that we must manage it wisely.
Yes, even the man who was shown only from the waist up when performing on Ed Sullivan’s TV show because his gyrating legs were too suggestive, can offer us words of wisdom for living. Just like Elvis Presley, we too can learn from life and then offer words of wisdom for others like this one: “Whatever I will become will be what God has chosen for me.”

Say Extraordinary and Stay Extraordinary!

What are the things that successful people say? Do you think that they are successful because they say these things? I think so. “I don’t sing because I’m happy; I’m happy because I sing”.

While reading this article published at INC. Magazine, I was reminded of the content in my own book, now published as a Kindle book: Personal PR, because much of it is very similar. You can read the article at: "10 Things Extraordinary People Say Every Day" http://www.inc.com/jeff-haden/10-things-extraordinary-people-say-every-day.html.

Saying the right things means attaining the right things, and maintaining the lifestyle you want!

To make some changes in your life, one needs to make some changes in their life. And you might have heard the definition of insanity as: doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.

Today you can break the chain of “unchanged”; change!

You can register now for the Attainment On Call, PRIVATE FACEBOOK ATTAINMENT Coaching. That will start in January. There is only a two month window to join this private group starting today but it will be closed sooner if 50 people join sooner.

"Seeking the tangible will bring you to the intangible which will give you the tangible to support the intangibles." - Ter Scott!

Here's what I mean by that. First to define; tangibles are things you can touch and hold like a car or house.  Things that you cannot are intangible; like love, and loyalty. Some people think that it's not right to have "things" or want "things" but it is "things" that help us to be better providers and able to support the intangibles that are very important to us. Secondly, when people have "things" as goals, and desire to attain them, they need to know that they may not get the thing directly, but indirectly by some intangible means or circumstance.

Using my quote above, let me explain it further with this example. Let's say that you want a car; a new car; a Mercedes car. That is a tangible thing. Now by doing something for someone else; something "intangible" like loving and caring for that person you meet someone who no longer has a need for their car and wants to give it away or sell it very cheaply, and guess what, it's a Mercedes; just like you wanted. Now that you have the car, you use it in an intangible way by giving people rides to work when they don't have transportation. So, you looked for something tangible, an intangible opportunity came your way and by you acting on it, you were rewarded with your tangible desire and you are now equipped to do something in an intangible way. The gift keeps giving. Just be open to acting when you are inspired. Don't always think that the things you want will come directly to you, they may come to you via a series of actions.

These are the kind of things we'll explore together in the Attainment on Call Private Membership program in 2014. I'm excited because I'll experience wonderful things right along with you and the other members who join us, as the year unfolds. But together we can shape our outcomes and be better off in all areas of the Major 8 when the year ends.

People are Kind of Like Snowflakes

Winning Wednesday Quote:

People are kind of like snowflakes. There is no one like us; we all have different skills or designs that make us who we are. -P. Eveland - 8th Grade

We’ve been looking at the piles of snow with the difficulties and the inconvenience it brings; while these 8th graders were looking at the fleeting beauty of just one snow flake. The young eyes of the wise bring us all an appreciation to the snowflake “design” in all of us!

Ter Scott of the Attainment on Call Program says: It's Not Just about the Money!

It's not just about money; do what you love and yes, the money really does follow! Hold on to the vision; don't give up, it will come to you. Remember, I call it the Major 8; not the Major 1! There are seven other areas that we'll be covering in these 52 weeks together.

So what’s this all going to cost me, you are asking. I know that this is usually the bottom line in most our decisions to move ahead on something. And I also know what you are thinking; you are probably thinking only in monetary terms. This will also “cost” you time and commitment to visiting the site every day. In this year of coaching you’ll learn to think in all areas of the Major 8; not just in the financial area!

The price of this program is high enough to discourage people who are not serious enough to learn how to attain and then follow the steps and “assignments” each week.

I’m not going to “hard sell” you on your dreams and what you want out of your life, and in these next 12 months; that’s your job. If you are serious join us; if not, continue to live like you have been. I know that may be harsh but if it sounds that way, maybe you need to “hear” it that way. Think about it for a moment; has anything really changed over the past five years for you? Think of where you were and what you were doing five years ago. Now think of your present situation. Has anything really changed (except for being five years older???).

To make some changes in your life, one needs to make some changes in their life. And you might have heard the definition of insanity as: doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.

Today you can break the chain of “unchanged”; change!

Visit my site for more information and find out just how affordable the program is!

When 50 people are signed up, that’s it until next year. Don’t put this off, it may be the most life changing thing you’ve ever experienced! Go here now: www.terscott.com/gotoattain.

Quick Way to Create Affirmation Posters

We all need a “push” now and then and a great way to do this is with affirmation posters. It’s easy and just takes a little time to create. Plus, it can be fun as you are searching the internet for pictures.

First, open a word document and type in several affirmations. Be sure that they are written in the present tense as if you are in the “now” and living it. Examples might be phrases like, I am prosperous, I make 100 phone calls per day, my clients love me and want me to call them, everyone is my customer, etc. Next you’ll find pictures for these phrases.

http://53f13d2bmbl8dl3mw0fxexpw4c.hop.clickbank.net/

Find a picture on the Internet, right click on the picture, click on “save picture as” and save in a file folder on your computer. (Be sure to rename it as a picture that makes sense to you). Then go back into your word document and place the cursor after one of your affirmation phrases as to where you want your picture placed and click on “insert” at the top of the page. This opens a window where you’ll click on the picture icon which allows you to browse. Find your folder, click on your picture and voila; it’s there, in your word document next to your affirmation phrase!

Click on the picture’s corners to make it smaller or larger (Making a picture larger may make it fuzzy; if it does, you can “resample” it but I won’t explain how to do that here. Or you may want to find another picture instead. Use the largest picture you can find. Making pictures smaller retains the image qualities more so than when making smaller pictures bigger). With the picture now on the page, you can click on it and position it and use the “paragraph” icon at the top of your page.

Once you’ve adjusted the position and the size of your lettering and pictures you have your “poster”. Print several and place in appropriate locations in your home and office so you’ll see them when you go about your activities!

Here's a picture of several pages of "affirmation posters" used by someone who sells insurance. This is what they look like before printing as it shows the "editing" notes that will not show after printing:
