You’ve chosen a color which you may not see on a color wheel but you would definitely see it in a paint store or on a list of cosmetics options at some time or another. Your color today is “Plum” and it means that you should deal with your obstacles and overcome your challenges. Remember that nothing is ever put in your “way” without your being able to overcome it. Per Wikipedia, the color “plum” is a deep purple color, such as that shown at right (color #8E4585), which is a close representation of the average color of the plum fruit.
As a quaternary color on the RYB color wheel, plum is an equal mix of the tertiary colors russet and slate (also known as olive).
The first recorded use of plum as a color name in English was in 1805.
In business, the color plum represents a business deal that is profitable—a plum contract. A plum job is a job that one is assigned to that has a high salary or the job may be a sinecure with good pay but not much work to do. Thus, the color plum represents prosperity.

Exploring other “meanings” for the color plum appears to be difficult as I only came up with those for the color purple. (If you happen to find one, please let me know). I did find symbolism for plum trees which you may find helpful.
One site mentioned how a plum tree represents the anticipation of promises waited for (overcoming for certain) and another stated that Plums are a symbol of spring and immortality.
In the Far East, the plum is a symbol of spring, as it blossoms between two seasons and represents youthfulness. It was also thought that immortals fed on plum blossoms.
I’ve always thought of Spring as overcoming the ravages of winter which can be quite fierce up here in the north where I live; it certainly is a “new beginning” which is what you’ll have when you overcome any obstacle.
Your action steps for today may be to get quiet and ask what obstacle(s) you need to overcome. If you received this color, you probably don’t have to ask; you already know! Be assured that you can overcome this but it may take a bit of time. Take it in steps. Ask for help. Don’t take this color message you got today lightly. I don’t believe in “problems”; they are situations and are neither good or bad but they are obstacles in your way to the goals you seek.
Write out how your life would be after you’ve overcome. Write out (using a colored pencil* in the color closest to “plum” that you can) what your situation is and be as clear as you can. Write up to 10 solutions to overcoming this (your success will be worth the time it takes to do this). Now act on what you can act on and let the rest of the work to the Universe to do. Don’t stress and don’t think about what is, but what can and will be.
