Wearing the Color Cyan, CAN, Build Your Confidence

What is confidence? To me I guess it would be having the “fear” but doing “it” anyway. Maybe that is more the definition of “courage” which is part of being confident. Confidence comes with doing and looking back at what you’ve done when you need to take a stand. But then confidence after a while, when one continues to “succeed” and move forward; even in small steps, becomes more automatic as with any routine. It becomes a habit; a way of life, of living and breathing. One who walks in the room with confidence exudes this trait and people know it. Sure from time to time, even the most confident could use a boost; and that’s what the color Cyan can do for you even if you think you already have a ton of confidence.

I’m thankful for Dictionary.com for a more succinct definition.
noun
1.
full trust; belief in the powers, trustworthiness, or reliability of a person or thing:
We have every confidence in their ability to succeed.
2.
belief in oneself and one's powers or abilities; self-confidence; self-reliance; assurance:
His lack of confidence defeated him.
3.
certitude; assurance:
He described the situation with such confidence that the audience believed him completely.

According to Wikipedia,
Cyan is associated with making someone feel better and protection, as well as being associated with good health from getting exercise by going swimming. This is because the water in a swimming pool is usually colored cyan from having a plaster white bottom that reflects the blue sky. The tiles of a swimming pool are often colored cyan, which makes the cyan color of the water in a swimming pool even more intense.
Cyan is a restful, calming color that symbolizes relaxation, especially that shade of cyan known as bright turquoise(shown below) which can be the color of the water in lagoons in tropical countries where people go swimming on their vacation.
That shade of cyan that is called medium aquamarine (shown below) is used for the uniforms of nurses and surgeons and also used to paint rooms in hospitals because it is regarded as a color that calms and relaxes the patients.

If you are going to wear a cyan colored tie or scarf today, I recommend that you check out Wikipedia’s cyan color chart to see the variations in tone.  For me, the color cyan used in our ink printers is a little intense; almost fluorescent and hard on the eyes.

Wikipedia also defined Cyan as being in between blue and green. Many sites I visited mentioned blue and green but not Cyan. One site mentioned blue as being a confident color: Confidence
Blue is a color that is linked with confidence. Unlike red, which shows aggressive dominance, blue is related to a calm authority. Blue inspires trust, it is non-threatening and shows persistence.

I fill a large blue vase with water and drink from it daily; you can research about storing water in blue containers on the Internet. I’m sure you could find a water bottle and other containers of a more cyan color to drink from before, during and after your meetings to gain more confidence.

BONUS NOTE: Another of my sites offers sales quotes and tips; who has more confidence than successful sales people, right? So check it out and copy the quotes which “speak” to you on a 3 x 5 cards and look at it often; memorize it and use it to boost your confidence (and income)!

In your Color Journal, using a Cyan colored pen or pencil (or something closest to that color) draw a circle and write inside of it things you want to attain, achieve and acquire. Use the list of the Major 8™ to jog your thinking. Look through online catalogs, keep a notebook and jot things in it that you find during your day that you’ll want to add to your circle. Do the same on a large piece of paper and post it where you’ll see it often. Change it over time to reflect new things you desire and take note of the things in your circle that have become reality for you. When you had success in attaining improvements, changes and things both tangible and intangible, use this as a confirmation that if you’ve done this or something like this (and you definitely have) then you can do this same or similar thing today. That my friend builds and boosts your confidence!
