Meditate Your Day to be Great



This is an exercise which I include in my Sunrise Sunset program where participants plan their day, live it and then evaluate it to then move to the next day as a better person intentionally receiving and living better and better each day.

For this exercise you’ll need a quiet place, a paper pad preferably yellow and a pen; preferably with blue ink.

Before you start each day, sit in meditation for at least five minutes; I prefer seven and I set my timer on my phone for the seven minutes. There is something about the number seven which is powerful when you are doing your Destiny Moves. The number seven has attached to it luck and magic ever since ancient times; and among many things, it matches our attention span!

To get into your meditation “mood”, use the technique I explained in Move One. Then start your timer.

Using your pen and paper write down your proposed actions for the day. Walk through leaving your home, going to work, seeing people at work, doing your “work”, having your breaks and interacting with your coworkers, having your meetings all with successful outcomes and then leaving for home, arriving and seeing yourself as having a very successful conclusion. Write on your paper your actions in just short notes and don’t stress or make a “big deal” out of the process. Like with all meditation keep things easy. Pay special attention to “hunches”, questions and revelations which come to you during this time.

If you are a business owner, sales person, health professional, actor, artist or coach or any other type you day’s actions will of course be different from the scenario I shared so you’ll have your own actions to visualize and realize from what you write and you’ll also have wonderful hunches, questions and revelations which pertain only to you! This is where you’ll find ideas for improving your relationships, your business; create inventions, discoveries, and new ideas which can make you money and even rich.

During this Destiny Move you will purposely remove anxiety, worry and fear from your mind. You will put your mind toward positive thoughts which will become the things in your reality all day long. You will be the master of your destiny; you’ll be the director of your day’s play and play the part which you yourself create for your day’s stage.

Fill in the blanks to the following and come up with a few of your own which pertain to what it is that you do and how your day and lifestyle are.

When __________________ I will _______________________ .
At this time of day ______________________________ .

Consider jotting down a few notes on a 3x5 card and carry it with you to review your progress during the day. Also, 3 hole punch your morning session papers and keep in a binder for review over time. 

You’ll be pleased to see how this shows positive progress and just how Destiny Moves.

Now go and “live” your day, your way!

In the evening review how your day went. Did it go as planned? What things did go as planned? Which things did not, why not and what would have been required for them to go as you had planned?

This may take a few moments each night but over time you’ll come to love this; especially when you see that you are more and more developing and actually creating your “perfect” day.
