What's Your Definition of Success?

Get Started Toward Success 1 of 5

This is the start of a short series of articles about success and how to achieve it. OK, already you’re not with me. You are thinking about other things. That sentence creates questions, and comments in your mind and you start a conversation with yourself…. STOP! First dismiss your most immediate thoughts, clean out the cobwebs of your mind, and let’s go on from here. You know the thoughts I’m talking about so I won’t entertain them by giving you examples. Let’s try this again.

In each of these “Get Started Toward Success” articles I will ask you to take action; to do a short assignment. If you are serious about making a change in your life, you’ll make a change in your life; you’ll do the assignment.

Are you ready? Here’s your assignment.

Write out your personal definition of success.

OK, here we go again. Your mind comes up with the definition(s) you've heard and parroted in your life up to this point. So how’s that working for you? The situation is that all the definitions as to what success is, and what it means, has been other people’s definitions. Someone else sat down and did this assignment and other’s copied their answer! No cheating. In life; especially in creating your own success, there are no shortcuts.

So before we can move on to the next 5 assignments (articles) you need to get out a sheet of paper, and a pen or pencil and brainstorm to come up with your own personal definition of success.

Feel free to leave your definition in the comments below. See you in the next success article.

Make it a great day!

Terrific. Energizing. Results!
